An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with the provider and assistant beginning at 8:45 a.m. and ending at 11:00 a.m. There were seven children in care ranging in age from six months to four years for a total of twenty-two points. Children were observed watching an age appropriate television program, arriving to the family day home and preparing for breakfast. Breakfast was mini pancakes, banana and milk. Handwashing was observed. After breakfast, children had free play. After play, children were observed during transition and cleaning up from free play. Children then watched an age appropriate television program while snack was prepared. Snack today is apple slices, ritz crackers and milk. Five children's records, two provider records and three household member records were reviewed. The provider completed 17.5 hours of training for the license year.
