Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted this morning from 11 am - 12:30 pm. There were five children present with the provider and two assistants for 18 points. I observed children at play with toys; eating lunch and napping. Lots of positive verbal interaction was observed between the infant/toddlers and all caregivers. Records were well organized and complete. The children's play area has been redesigned to remove the television and provide more room for a larger variety of toys in labeled containers. If you have any questions, please contact me at brenda.kuhlman@dss.virginia.gov

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-240-A
Description: During today's inspection, some floor covereings were observed to not be maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: In the children's play and eating area, two rugs and towels covering the floor were observed to be bunched up today, posing a potential tripping hazard.

Plan of Correction: We will find a way to make sure these lay flat.
