54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 12:00-1:30 pm There were 7 children directly supervised by the provider and an assistant. The home, staff records, children' records, children's medications records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed in quiet time/ nap time and bathroom and hand washing procedures were discussed with an older child in care. The inspector observed the children preparing for nap and the the individual needs of each child in care were respected as they fell asleep. A new friend was comforted as they were getting used to a crib. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The home was clean and organized. An exit interview was conducted with the Provider. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based upon records reviewed, a record was found to be incomplete. Evidence: Child A's record was missing 1 of 2 required emergency contact information. Plan of Correction: Provider will ask parent for information at pick up.
