Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted January 27, 2016 from approximately 9:45am to 12:00pm to determine the provider's compliance with licensing standards. Some but not all standards were reviewed. During the inspection, there were eight non-resident children present for a total of 22 points. Three caregivers were supervising the children. The provider?s home has two primary rooms for the children to use along with the kitchen and a bathroom. A complete walk through of the home was conducted with the provider. Children were observed playing with toys while the caregivers sat on the floor with them. Caregivers were engaged in conversations with the children and provided assistance when needed. Lunch consisted of Italian sausage and penne with tomato sauce, peppers and milk. During the inspection the emergency supplies were inspected including the first aid kit, flashlight, and weather band radio. Menus, daily attendance, parent agreements and caregivers training were reviewed. Emergency drill logs were reviewed. The provider stated medication is not being administered at this time. Transportation is not being provided. During the inspection, three children's and three caregivers? records were reviewed. If you have any questions regarding the inspection, contact the licensing inspector, Lynn Powers at (804) 662-9790.
