An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 1015-1115. There were 8 children present with 2 staff for a total of 16 points. The Provider has maintained children's files and were available and accessible for review. The records reviewed were in compliance. The Emergency Preparedness plan has been kept up-to-date and has had yearly reviews. The radio and flashlight has extra batteries and are closely accessible. The Provider and assistant have attended various trainings and the children were involved in a breathing activity that the Inspector can use as well. She had the children pretend to take an invisible flower and an imaginary candle. The children said the Inspector need the flower and candle too. We then took deep breathes in to smell our flower so we could then blow out our imaginary candles. We repeated this a few times and then the children prepared for their activities. Please call with any questions 703-479-4679
