Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today 03/30/2016. There were nine children in care at a total of 24 points with the licensee and two assistants. The Inspector arrived at 8:15 am and departed the program at 11:00 A.M. The inspector reviewed eight children's records, the licensee's, two assistant's and one household member's record. Observed the children during: free play, dancing, story time, snack and nap. Discussion with the licensee about: record clean up in household member and staff records, relocating the menu for parents to view.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-350-E
Description: Based on temperature measurements, the license failed to ensure that the hot water was maintained within a range of 105-120F. Evidence: 1. The inspector found that the temperature of the bathroom sink in the child care area was at 131.4 degrees.

Plan of Correction: The licensee will have the hot water turned down and will monitor.
