An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted April 26, 2016 from approximately 10:30am to 12:30pm to determine the provider's compliance with licensing standards. During the inspection, there were seven non-resident children along with two resident children present for a total of 23 points. Two caregivers were observed supervising the children. Upon arrival, the licensing inspector observed the children playing outside with caregivers supervising the play. Later children were observed watching Baby Einstein, playing with toys, washing their hands, singing songs, having their diapers changed, and eating lunch. Lunch consisted of chicken nuggets, bread, mixed vegetables, mixed fruit and milk. Caregivers? were observed engaging children in conversations. The infant in care was observed being held and fed. During the inspection the emergency drills and emergency supplies were inspected. The menu, sleeping area, diapering area and outdoor play area was also inspected. The provider stated during the inspection, medication is not administered. Transportation is not being provided at this time. One child?s record was reviewed. There have been no changes in the caregiver?s records since the February 2016 inspection. If you have any questions regarding today's inspection, contact the licensing inspector, Lynn Powers at (804) 662-9790.

A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.
