The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced renewal inspection on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 10:30am to 11:45pm. The children were playing outside in the backyard upon the inspector?s arrival. Afterwards they came inside and watched a "My Baby can Read" dvd. They were later observed eating a snack of pretzels and strawberries while they listened to a story being read by the caregiver. Today, there were six children, totaling 12 points, present with two caregivers. Interviews were held with the caregivers throughout the inspection. Additionally, when appropriate the inspector interacted with children. The provider does administer medication. The provider does provide transportation. The provider does not not have pets. Two children?s records, and two caregivers? records were reviewed during the inspection. Last emergency drill: 04/15/2016 Last shelter-in-place drill: 10/23/2015 The violations from the previous inspections were checked for corrections. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-800-B Description: Based on a review of documentation on 5/20/2016, the provider did not ensure that the emergency plan was reviewed annually. EVIDENCE: The most recent documented review of the emergency plan was 12/15/2014. The provider shall review the emergency plan at least annually. The provider shall document in writing each review of the emergency plan. Plan of Correction: Corrected on site. The emergency plan was reviewed and the review was documented during the inspection.
