54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced inspection was conducted on May 24, 2016. The provider was present with 7 children. (21 points) During the inspection the children played outdoors in the back yard and on the deck. The 3 infants were outside in infant seats. After outdoor time all of the children went inside and the older children colored and painted pictures. The infants were either held or had floor time. It was noted that the above ground pool and the hot tub are being removed from the property in June. The provider was reminded that TB tests/screenings are due by the first of June. Inspection began: 10:45 a.m. Inspection ended: 12:00 p.m.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-570-A Description: Based on observation, the provider did not ensure that there were sufficient caregivers present for the numbers and ages of the children in care. Evidence: At the time of the inspection there were 7 children in care, including 3 infants, 1 toddler, and 3 preschool children. The points for the ages of the children were 21 points, and a second caregiver was not present. ( A caregiver is required for each 16 points.) Plan of Correction: Two prospective assistants are being interviewed.
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-1-c Description: Based on a review of records for the provider and household members, the provider did not obtain a central registry search within the past three years of the most recent search on file. Evidence: The central registry search on file for household member # 1 was dated 3/15/13. Plan of Correction: The update will be completed.
