22VAC40-191 Background Checks for Child Welfare Agencies
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on May 25 2016 between 1:10pm and 2:30pm. There were 3 children (8 points) in the care of 1 provider. Children were observed sleeping, drawing, playing on a rocking horse, having tummy time, reading books, and playing on a keyboard. The children's records, staff record, physical plant of the home, care of the children, and supervision were observed and inspected. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-90-C Description: Based on record review, 1 of 3 children's records did not have an updated immunization record. Evidence: Child #1 record did not contain an updated immunization record every 6 months while under the age of 2 years. Plan of Correction: Child records will be brought in by parents.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-150-D-1 Description: Based on observation, the provider is not currently certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Evidence: The provider's CPR certification expired February 2016. Plan of Correction: CPR class will be scheduled.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-510-A Description: Based on observation, the family day home did not have a suitable location for a child to sleep. Evidence: The family day home does not have an infant crib on site. There is a toddler bed in the home which is not safe for an infant. Plan of Correction: Crib will be replaced with an infant crib.
