Discussed recommended sanitizing solutions for the diaper changing table.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today in response to the provider's request for the Inspector to verify the correction of previous violations. Although these violations were corrected, additional violations were cited today. No children were in care at the time of this inspection. The Inspector was on site between approximately 9:20 am and 10:30 am today. Thank you for meeting with me today. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-920 Description: Based on observations, it was determined that the current menu has not been dated as required. Evidence: It was reported to the Inspector that the posted menu is for the current month of June, however the menu was not dated for any of the dates in June. Plan of Correction: I will begin dating the menu when I post it at the beginning of each month.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on a review of enrolled children's records, it was determined that two records were not complete. Evidence: 1. Child record #1 does not include: each parent's work address. 2. Child record #2 does not include: the parent's medical insurance ID number; documented date of enrollment; the parent's signature on the Information for Parents document; the provider's signature indicating that she has viewed the child's original proof of ID; the provider's name on the Authorization for Emergency Care statement; a signed Declaration of Liability Insurance document. Plan of Correction: The parents will be asked for all missing information and the records will be reviewed for completion.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-690-D Description: Based on provider interviews, it was determined that the provider has not been cleaning and sanitizing the diaper changing pad as required. Evidence: The provider has been cleaning the diapering pad with soap and water in between each use, but she has not been sanitizing the diapering pad with a sanitizing solution in addition to cleaning it with soap and water. Plan of Correction: When children return tomorrow, I will begin using a sanitizing solution on the diapering pad after I clean it with soap and water.
