Today an unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with the Provider. This visit took place between 11:30-1:20 there were 7 children with the Provider and 1 assistant for a total of 20 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed having outdoor free play, free play, snack, listening to music, lunch and nap time. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and caregiver records, fire drill log, menu, and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-900-B Description: Based on observation a child was allowed to eat while walking. Evidence: A toddler was given a piece of apple while walking around. Plan of Correction: Provider stated that she will no longer give the children food when they are walking around.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-960-E Description: Based on observation of the bottles, one bottle was found without the name and date. Evidence: One infant bottle was found without a name. Plan of Correction: Provider stated that the parent forgot to add the name to the bottle. Provider will add the name.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-210-A Description: Based on a review of the caregiver records, the caregiver did not have the annual 16 hours of training. Evidence: Caregiver #1's record only included 7.5 hours of annual training. Caregiver #2's record only included 7 hours of annual training. Plan of Correction: Provider stated that she will have the rest of training hours by October. provider stated that over the summer the county did not offer any training.
