Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted August 25, 2016 from approximately 10:15am to 12:20pm to determine the provider's compliance with licensing standards. In attendance were ten non-resident children along with two resident children being supervised by two caregivers for a total of 29 points. During the inspection, children were observed playing outside, playing with toys, taking turns going to the bathroom for toileting and hand washing, watching a children?s program on television while lunch was being prepared and napping. Lunch consisted on fish filets, mash potatoes, green beans, bread and milk. The caregivers were observed responding quickly to the needs of the children and providing assistance when needed. The child care areas were filled with supplies for the children. The outdoor play area was inspected. During the inspection the licensing inspector reviewed the following: emergency drill logs, emergency supplies including first aid kit, flashlight, battery operated weather radio, smoke detectors, menu, daily attendance, and annual caregiver's training. The caregiver stated there were no medications belonging to the children in care during the inspection. Transportation is not being provided at this time. During the inspection three children's and one caregiver's along with one household member?s records were reviewed. If you have any questions regarding the inspection, contact the licensing inspector, Lynn Powers at (804) 662-9790.
