This inspector discussed medication documentation consistency and documentation details.
Today an unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 2:30pm-3:30pm. There were 9 children (totaling, 21 points) directly supervised by 2 staff. The home, 1 staff record, 2 children?s records, 1 household member?s record, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site. Children were observed playing freely and napping. Snack was also observed. There was a sufficient supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A Description: Based on record review, 1 caregiver and 1 household member did not have a current Report of Tubrculosis (TB) Screening form available. Evidence: 1. Staff #1 had TB documentation that expired 10/11/15 available for review. There was no current TB documentation. 2. Household member #1 had TB documentation that expired 6/24/16 available for review. There was no current TB documentation. Plan of Correction: I will get current documentation in the file.
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-1-c Description: Based on record review, a household member did not have a current sworn statement on file. Evidence: 1. Housemember #1 had a a sworn statement available that expired on 3/12/16. Plan of Correction: I will have the form reviewed.
