Comments:
Today an unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 10:15am-11:40am. There were 4 children( totaling 8 points) directly supervised by 2 staff. The home, 1 staff records, 2 children?s records, evacuation drills, and policies were inspected. There was 1 medication on site today. Children were observed playing freely, doing a craft, and having story time. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-A
Description: Based on record review, the emergency evacuation procedures where not practiced monthly. Evidence: 1. The emergency evacuation drill was not documented for the month of May in 2016.

Plan of Correction: I will continue to practice the drill monthly. I completed this drill but am unable to find the documentation.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280
Description: Based on direct observation, potentially poisonous substances and supplies such as, but not limited to, cleaning agents and disinfectants were not stored inaccessible to children. Evidence: 1. The laundry room, which contained stored cleaning agents and disinfectants, was unlocked and in an area accessible to children.

Plan of Correction: I will place a lock on this door.
