An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 12:00pm-1:10pm. There were 9 children present (30points) with 3 caregivers directly supervising. The physical space, 3 staff records, 3 children's records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies and policies were inspected. Children were observed playing outside, eating lunch, interacting with the caregivers and napping. 6 infants were present with 6 cribs available. There was an abundant supply of developmentally appropriate activities available.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-760-A Description: Based upon review, the first aid and emergency medical supply kit did not contain more than one triangular bandage. Evidence: Only one triangular bandage was located. Plan of Correction: Triangular bandage is included in the first aid box.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-50-A Description: Based on review, the family day home failed to keep a written record of children in attendance. Evidence: The caregiver was unable to provide the attendance document. Plan of Correction: Document is in place now.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-70-A Description: Based on records reviewed, it was determined that the provider did not advise the parents of the home's policies on administering medications. Evidence: 1 out of 3 records reviewed did not represent the fact that the provider is no longer MAT trained and therefore cannot administer prescription medicine. Plan of Correction: Administering Med document is been included in the file.
