54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with the provider beginning at 12:40 PM and ending at 2:45 PM. There were five children in care ages eleven months, twenty months, two, three, and three years old for a total of thirteen points. Two of the children were observed sleeping in cribs and one child was asleep on a cot. Two children were awake but resting quietly on their cots. Children were also observed listening to music, playing with puzzles, and looking at books. Five children's records and three household member's records were reviewed and determined to be in compliance. There were no medications on site and the provider is not certified in Medication Administration Training which is required to administer medications. The provider is certified in CPR and first aid. The most recent emergency escape drill was conducted October 14, 2014. The first aid kit, battery-operated flashlight, and weather-band radio were observed and in compliance.
