Today's visit was a renewal inspection. The inspection began at 10:35am and concluded at 1:00pm. There were five children in care with one provider and a total of nine points. During the inspection children's center time was observed, hand washing was observed, lunch time was observed, nap time was observed, the provider's record was reviewed, three out of eleven children's records were reviewed, the emergency preparedness plan was reviewed, emergency supplies were reviewed, and additional policies and procedures were reviewed. Your renewal application has been received in the licensing office and a recommendation regarding your license can be made upon the completion of today's inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-530-H Description: Based on the inspector's observations during rest time, the provider failed to ensure pillows were covered with pillowcases. Evidence: The inspector observed three pillows at rest time that were not covered with pillow cases. Plan of Correction: The provider will ensure all pillows are equipped with pillowcases when in use.
