An exit interview was conducted with the director to discuss the results of today's inspection.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today, December 12, 2016 to determine the provider's compliance with licensing standards. No children were present during today's inspection; as a result some standards could not be determined. Children's books, toys, and equipment were inspected and found to be age appropriate and in operable condition. All rooms of the home used by children were inspected with no hazards found. The restroom was inspected with the proper supplies and equipment present.
The family day home had the required postings displayed on the wall upon entering the home. The first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and emergency supplies were inspected. Two children's and one provider's record were inspected with the required information found. The following was also inspected: fire drill log, shelter-in-place drills, emergency preparedness plan, parent agreements, and other pertinent information. See attached notice for violations found on this day.
If you have any questions regarding today's inspection, contact the licensing inspector at (804) 662-9771.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-A Description: Based on the inspection of children's records, the required update has not been completed. Evidence: During the inspection of two children's records, it was discovered both records were not updated by the parent as required. Plan of Correction: Per provider: I have spoken with the parents and just need their signature that the information is still current. I will obtain the signature within the week.

For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.Virginia Quality is a voluntary quality rating and improvement system for early care and education facilities serving children ages birth through pre-K.
