Technical Assistance:

The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection on December 9, 2016 from approximately 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. During this inspection, there were 4 children totaling 12 points being cared for by the provider. The children were observed watching Sesame Street on television, playing with peers, interacting with the provider, eating lunch, and preparing for nap time. The children's lunch consisted of eggs, potatoes, toast, and mixed fruit. During this inspection, the licensing inspector also observed the diapering area and diapering of the children by the provider which was deemed appropriate. The inspector observed the required postings to include license, prior inspection summary, and breakfast and lunch menus. The first aid kit and emergency supplies, posted telephone numbers, fire and shelter-in-place drills, emergency preparedness and response plan were inspected. During this inspection, two children's, provider, and household member records were reviewed for compliance of standards. There are currently no medications being administered by the provider. The inspector also completed observation of indoor and outdoor play areas and equipment to ensure safety, and napping area designated for children. Description: Based on the review of the provider?s record, the provider did not obtain an updated background check every three years as required. Evidence: The provider's record did not have an updated criminal history record check. The provider's last criminal history check observed in the record was dated 10/09/13. The criminal history check shall be obtained within three years of the date on the last one.

Plan of Correction: Per the provider: I will resubmit the background check.
