Technical Assistance:
Discussed the standards pertaining to speaking, reading and writing English. Also discussed keeping up with attendance in the morning and posting the last inspection and menu in a place for parents to be able to view.

Comments:
An unannounced non-mandated monitoring visit was conducted today beginning at 9:05am. 6 children (15pts) and 2 caregivers were present providing direct supervision. The physical space, first aid kit, emergency evacuation drills, 3 children's records, household member records and caregiver records were reviewed. There were no medications on site. Children were observed finishing breakfast, coloring, playing with playdough, watching videos and engaging in free play. Hand washing and diaper changing procedures were also observed. For the morning snack the children ate pretzels, cheese and drank apple juice. The space was clean and organized with an abundance of developmentally appropriate materials. If you have any questions, please contact me at stephanie.togni@dss.virginia.gov.
