The following inspection took place between the hours of 11:15am and 1:15pm. Today, I met with the Provider on site at her Family Day Home, Children's Garden located in Herndon, Virginia. At the start of this unannounced monitoring inspection there were a total of 11 children (30points) with Provider and one assisant. A total of 5 children?s files and all staff files were reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: having free play, observation of diapering and eating lunch which consisted of spaghetti and meatballs and mixed vegetables. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280 Description: Based on observation of physical plant, hazardous materials were found accessible to children. Evidence: Cleaning agents were found under the sink in the bathroom and under the diaper changing station and inside the cabinet to the right of the diaper changing station, all of which are accessible to children in care. Plan of Correction: Provider will secure all cleaning agents today.
