Discussed annual training hours required for all caregivers, including assistants.
An unannounced renewal study was conducted today beginning at 8:40am. 10 children (26pts) were directly supervised by 3 caregivers. Ratios were in compliance. The physical space, emergency evacuation drills, Emergency Preparedness Plan, first aid kit, 3 children's records, the provider/household member records, 2 assistant records, the menu, attendance records and evacuation map were reviewed. The children were observed playing with legos, singing and interacting with their caregivers. Positive interactions were observed during the visit. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-760-A-1 Description: Based on review of the first aid kit, the kit did not include two triangular bandages. Evidence: No triangular bandages were present. Plan of Correction: We corrected and we put two triangular bandages.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-130 Description: Based on review of records and interview of provider, the provider did not have the Central Registry Searches for Caregiver 1, Caregiver 2 and Household Member 1. Evidence: The Central Registry Searches were unavailable for review. Plan of Correction: We didn't found, so date 2-2-2017 we send the forms to search for caregiver #1, 2 and for the household member #1.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-A Description: Based on observation, small electrical appliances were not unplugged while not being used. Evidence: A blender and coffee maker were not in use but plugged in during the hours of operation. Plan of Correction: We corrected and the appliances are unplugged were not are using.
