An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on April 25, 2017 between the hours of approximately 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Eighteen (18) children were enrolled and eight children were in the care of two caregivers on this date (17 points). Eight children's records were reviewed. Both caregivers' records were up-to-date and, therefore, not reviewed. No medications were administered. Safety equipment (first aid kit, flashlight and radio), facility documents and posted information were observed/reviewed. Program observation was completed. Activities observed on this date included: indoor play; diapering, restroom and handwashing procedures; lunch; infant care, nap time and afternoon snack. Adult/child interactions, behavior guidance and daily routines/transitions were also observed. The children knew and followed the daily routine and transitions well. Previously cited violations were reviewed for compliance. One repeat violation was cited. The exceptions to compliance were noted on the violation notice. Infant activity spaces and feeding standards were discussed. Thank you for your time and assistance during this licensing inspection. Please contact me if you have questions concerning this inspection, the licensing standards and/or if I may be of assistance to you (540) 430-9262.
