An unannounced health and safety inspection was conducted today from 9:03 a.m. - 11:40 a.m. There were no children in care at the time of the inspection. There were two children in care earlier this morning who got on the bus. Two children's records were reviewed. The record for the provider was reviewed. Standard #: VENDHOM-000-012-C
Description: Based on interview the provider failed to complete the Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff as required. Evidence: 1. On 05/03/2017 the licensing inspector requested to see documentation from the provider showing she had completed the Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff. The provider advised she did not know that she was suppose to take any training.

Plan of Correction: I will take the required training as soon as possible.

Description: Based on record review and interview the provider did not have current first aid and CPR. Evidence: 1. On 05/03/2017 the licensing inspector requested to see documentation of the provider's first aid and CPR. The provider had not as of this date completed a current training. The last documentation of first aid and CPR had an expiration 02/2017.

Plan of Correction: I have to go on-line and take the first part of the training and then notify the American Heart Association representative in order to take the hands on part. I can have this completed within 30 - 45 days.

Description: Based on interview the facility failed to have a lockdown procedure. Evidence: 1. On 05/03/2017 the licensing inspector asked if the provider had a procedure in place for lockdown. The provider advised she did not.

Plan of Correction: I will do a lockdown procedure.
