54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced monitoring/renewal inspection was conducted today from 12:00pm-1:30pm. There were 4 children(9 points) directly supervised by 1 caregiver. The home, 1 staff records, 2 children?s records, 1 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely and eating lunch. There was a supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-800-B Description: Based on record review, the provider did not update the emergency plan annually. Evidence: The last documented date of review for the emergency plan was from 2015. Plan of Correction: It was updated at the time of inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-140-B-3 Description: Based on record review, the provider does not have a current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Evidence: The provider's cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification expired on 04/30/2017. Plan of Correction: I will renew the CPR as soon as possible.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-140-B-4 Description: Based on record review, the provider is not currently certified in first aid. Evidence: The provider's first aid certification expired on 04/30/2017. Plan of Correction: I will renew as soon as possible.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A Description: Based on record review, the provider did not obtain a current report of tuberculosis screening for each adult family member every two years from the previous date of screening. Evidence: Household member A has a TB screening which expired on 10/20/2016. Plan of Correction: I will send household member to doctor on Monday.
