An announced monitoring inspection was conducted on May 10th 2017 between 12:15pm and 2:00pm. The was 1 day care child and 1 provider child in the care of 1 provider. The children were observed playing with toys, watching a movie, and taking a nap. The home is clean, organized, and offers plenty of space and toys for the children to utilize. The household record, provider record, child record, the playground space, the home, the emergency plan, the first aid kit, and supervision were observed and inspected. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-760-A-1 Description: Based on observation, the provider did not have a complete first aid kit. Evidence; The first aid kit did not contain: 1) Tweezers 2) a 2nd triangular bandage. Plan of Correction: I will replace those items.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-800-A Description: Based on direct observation, the family day home did not have a current written preparedness and response plan. Evidence: The provider recently moved to the current location and has yet to update the preparedness plan to reflect the new location. Plan of Correction: I will complete an updated version.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-130 Description: Based on direct observation, the provider could not produce the original documentation of a central registry check. Evidence: The provider has a copy of a central registry check dated 8/23/2014, but the original document could not be located. Plan of Correction: I will reapply for a new one.
