The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection from 9:50am - 12:15pm. Upon entrance, there were no children in care. Two children arrived during the inspection for two points with one caregiver. The children were observed playing games on a tablet. Two caregivers and two children's records were reviewed. Standard #: VENDHOM-000-012-A Description: Based on record reviews, the provider failed to complete the Virginia Pre-Service Training. Evidence: 1. The inspector reviewed caregiver record #1. Caregiver record #1 (provider) did not contain documentation of the Virginia Pre-Service Training. Plan of Correction: The provider will complete the training and send a copy of the certificate to the licensing office.
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-012-B Description: Based on record reviews, a caregiver failed to complete the Virginia Pre-Service Training. Evidence: 1. The inspector reviewed caregiver record #2. Caregiver record #2 (assistant) did not contain documentation of completing the Virginia Pre-Service Training. Plan of Correction: Caregiver #2 will complete the pre-service training and send a copy of the certificate to the licensing office.
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-029-B-5 Description: Based on review of the family day home's emergency preparedness plan, lockdown procedures were not included. Evidence: 1. The inspector reviewed the family day home's emergency preparedness plan. The plan did not include lockdown procedures. Plan of Correction: The provider will add lockdown procedures to the family day home's emergency preparedness plan and post.
