Two caregivers and two children's records were reviewed. Violations from the previous inspection were also reviewed and one was repeated. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the violation notice. If you have any questions, please contact your licensing inspector at (276) 608-3758. Thank you for your cooperation.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-240-A Description: Based on observation, the provider failed to maintain the family day home in a clean, safe and operable condition. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed the home. In the entrance room, there is a window shade that is broken with sharp edges. The bathroom primarily used by the children in care, had several items on the floor (toy, sock, paper, dirt). The crib has peeling paint. Plan of Correction: The bathroom floor will be swept today. The provider has a new shade and will remove the broken shade and put up the new one today. The provider does not have any infants in care, but will replace the crib with a new one.
