22VAC40-111 Physical Environment and Equipment

The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced focused inspection from 9:55am - 12:00pm. Upon arrival, there were no children in care. Two school-age children arrived during the inspection for a total of two points with one caregiver. The Intensive Plan of Correction was reviewed to confirm that violations had been corrected. Description: Based on observation, the provider failed to maintain the family day home in a clean condition. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed the home. In the front room, which is primarily used for child care, the inspector observed two dead roaches, pet hair and dirt in the floor.

Plan of Correction: The provider swept the floor during the inspection. The provider will sweep the floor each day before children come into care.
