Comments:
An unannounced renewal study was conducted from 2:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. with the provider. Nine children, ages 13 months, 20 months, 2 years, 2 years, 3 years, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years, and 9 years old, were under the care of two caregivers for a total of 19 points. Children were observed waking from afternoon nap, eating afternoon snack, playing with various toys such as blocks and action heroes, and having a pretend tea party. Afternoon snack today was Cheez-its, apple slices, and apple juice. The last emergency escape drill was 6/6/17. The last shelter-in-place drill was 6/8/17. The complete first aid kit, flashlight, and weatherband radio were present and accessible. The provider does not administer medication; there were no medications to review. The provider holds current certification in first aid and CPR. Three complete household members' and three children's records were reviewed. Description: Based on documentation review and provider interview, the provider did not have an annual inspection of the wood-burning fireplace. Evidence: The last inspection of the wood-burning fireplace was dated 1/31/13.

Plan of Correction: The provider stated that she will call and schedule a fireplace inspection to be completed within the next 10 days.
