Technical Assistance:
Discussed assistant caregivers completing Virginia Pre-Service Training within 90 days of signing the subsidy contract, these training hours will be included to meet the required 16 hours of annual training. Provided online resources for emergency drills and additional documents.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:30am-11:00am. One child was present (2 points) with the provider and assistant caregiver. The child was observed coloring with markers. The home was clean, organized, and an abundant supply of toys and materials were available. The outdoor play area was spacious with outdoor play houses and toys. The home, child records, caregiver records, and household member records were reviewed. The provider had a secure shelter in place location with needed emergency supplies. Emergency drills and family day home policies were reviewed. There were no medications on site today. First aid and CPR certification, MAT training, and Virginia Pre-Service Training were inspected.
