An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on July 20, 2017. The provider and her assistant were present with 11 children. (16 points) During the inspection the children worked on preparing for a tie dye project, played with toys, used the rest room and washed their hands, played outside on the fenced play area, and then came back in for more activities. Diapering was also observed. Two caregiver records and 3 children's files were reviewed. Evacuation drills had been documented. There were no medications on site. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-140-B-3 Description: Based on a review of documentation, the family day home did not have current certification for CPR for the caregivers. The most recent certification of CPR for Caregiver # 1 and Caregiver # 2 expired 4/1/17. Plan of Correction: Re-certification for CPR will be updated this month.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A Description: Based on a review of caregiver records, the family day home did not have a TB screening report that had been done within 2 years from the previous screening. Evidence: The most recent TB screening on file for Caregiver # 2 was dated 4/1/15. Plan of Correction: The screening will be updated by the end of the month.
