Comments:
The following inspection took place between the hours of 8:15 am through 9:30. Today, I met with the Provider on site at the Family Day Home (FDH). At the start of this unannounced monitoring inspection there were a total of 6 children (18 points) with 2 caregivers. A total of 3 children's files and 3 staff/household member's files were reviewed. This is a new home for the provider, the home was inspected. The provider is using a large room downstairs for the FDH, with a separate room for cribs also located downstairs. Zoning has allowed 9 children with special requirements for the provider. The children were engaged in the following: arrival to the FDH, books, toys, hand washing and breakfast. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Please contact me if you have any questions at Margaret.allworth@dss.virginia.gov or 703-209-3521.
