Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today, August 11, 2017 to determine the provider's compliance with licensing standards. The inspection was initiated at 12:40pm and concluded at approximately 2:15pm. In attendance were 9 children totaling 24 points being supervised by the provider and assistant. Children had just finished eating lunch and were observed asleep on cots with the appropriate bedding. Today's lunch consisted of chicken nuggets, corn, grapes, sliced bread, and milk. Children's books, toys, and equipment were inspected and found to be age appropriate and in operable condition. The children's restroom was inspected with the required supplies present. All rooms of the home used by children were inspected with no hazards found.

The family day home had the required postings displayed on the wall upon entering the home. The first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and emergency supplies were inspected. One staff and four children's records were inspected and found updated. The following was also inspected on this day: daily attendance, fire drill log, shelter-in-place drills, emergency preparedness plan, parent agreements, and other pertinent information.

If you have any questions regarding today's inspection, contact the licensing inspector at (804) 662-9771.
