An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 2:40am-4:15am. There were 13 children (34 points) directly supervised by 1 staff and 1 household member, then the provider returned after a quick errand. The home, 3 previously reviewed staff records, 2 children?s records, 1 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed napping and being picked up by parents. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-30-A Description: Based on observation, the provider failed to ensure that they maintained compliance with the standards and the terms of the current license issued by the department. Evidence: Observed that upon arrival to the facility the assistant and a household member were watching 13 children that were napping. Plan of Correction: Corrected at the time of the inspection.

Evidence: Reviewed the provider's records and found that the provider's CPR and First Aid certification was expired as of 8/28/17. Plan of Correction: Will have it by the end of next week.
