A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 08/24/2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 9 children (20 points), two of which were the provider's children, directly supervised by 2 caregivers. A sample of 7 children?s and 2 staff records were reviewed. The children were observed playing with puzzles, playing with provider, diapering and toileting, playing with blocks, coloring and playing dress up. The area for children was well maintained and the infant area contained age appropriate toys. No new staff have been hired since the last inspection. The exit interview was conducted with the provider. If you have any questions, I can be reached via e-mail at Kimberly.Sawyer@dss.virginia.gov or by phone at 571-835-0599. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.Virginia Quality is a voluntary quality rating and improvement system for early care and education facilities serving children ages birth through pre-K.
