54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.

A monitoring inspection was conducted from 11:45am-12:45pm. Upon arrival there were 5 children, totaling 12 points with 1 caregiver. All five children's records were reviewed in addition to 1 caregiver/household record. The licensee does not have any pets and does not administer medication at this time. Children were observed coloring and participating in a cutting activity , during toileting and 1 child was observed during nap.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-240-A
Description: Based on observation the licensee failed to ensure all areas and furnishings inside and outside maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: In the back yard the air conditioning unit was rusted on the top cover. Rust came off when touched.

Plan of Correction: The licensee will remove the rust.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-A
Description: Based on observation the licensee failed to ensure small electrical appliances were unplugged. Evidence: In one of the bedrooms a curling iron was plugged into an electrical outlet.

Plan of Correction: The licensee unplugged the curling iron during the inspection.
