An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on September 22, 2017. The purpose of this visit was to measure the facility?s compliance with the licensing standards. There were 4 children in care, for a total of 9 points with two caregivers.
The children were observed reading books, playing with toys and playing in the backyard. The children ate a lunch of grilled cheese cut into cubes, mango, spinach and milk. The facility does not administer medication. The facility does not provide transportation. The last evacuation drill was conducted 9/5/17. The most recent shelter-in-place was conducted 4/4/17. Two caregiver records and 4 children?s records were reviewed.
Approximate time on site: 10:00am to 1:30pm

Description: Based on a review of caregiver records, the facility did not ensure that a provider had current CPR certification. EVIDENCE: The record of caregiver #1, did not contain verification of CPR training.

Plan of Correction: I will place all my vital papers in a binder so that I can quickly access them.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-140-B-4
Description: Based on a review of caregiver records, the facility did not ensure that the provider had current certification in first aid. EVIDENCE: The record of caregiver #1, did not contain documentation of first aid training.

Plan of Correction: I will place all my vital papers for licensing in a binder for them only.
