A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 12/11/2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspector arrived at 9:45 AM and departed at 11:15 AM. Six children were in care with two caregivers. Emergency preparedness procedures were reviewed. Thre caregiver/household records and a sample size of five children's records were reviewed. It was reported that no children currently enrolled have any diagnosed food allergies, sensitivities or dietary restrictions. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. An exit meeting was conducted with the provider prior to closure of the inspection.
Standard #: VENDHOM-000-012-B Description: Based upon review of two caregiver records and provider interview, the provider has not ensured that within the first 90 days of employment or service, all caregivers have completed the Virginia Pre-Service Training for Child Care Staff. Evidence: 1. The record provided for caregiver 2 did not have documentation of the required Pre-Service Training. 2. The provider verified that caregiver 2 has not had the required Pre-Service Training.The Plan of Correction: The provider responded with the following: Caregiver 2 will obtain the required Pre-Service training.
