The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced renewal inspection from 9:00am - 11:30am. There were two children in care for a total of five points with one caregiver. The children were observed watching cartoons, having snacks, playing with the available toys and playing with play dough. One caregiver's record, three household member's records and three children's records were reviewed. Violations from the previous inspection were also reviewed and all had been corrected. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-70-A Description: Based on record reviews, the family day home failed to provide all required information in writing to the parents. Evidence: 1. The inspector reviewed three children's records. Two of three records reviewed (children's records #1 and #2) did not contain the information and agreement for the family day home's liability insurance. Plan of Correction: The family day home will provide the information and agreement for the home's liability insurance to the children's parents and ask them to review and sign.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-460-C Description: Based on record reviews, the family day home failed to have all of their pets with current vaccinations. Evidence; 1. The inspector reviewed the family day home's pet's records. Two cats did not have current rabies vaccinations. Plan of Correction: The provider will take the cats and have their rabies vaccinations. Copies of the shot records will be sent to the licensing office.
