54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
- Technical Assistance:
Discussed paperwork requirements for using a household member as an assistant. Finger print registry was discussed.
An unannounced renewal was conducted in the afternoon. There were 7 children present with the Provider and a caregiver for a total of 17 points. The children were observed waking up, and preparing for the afternoon. Diapering, hand washing, and snack prep was observed. The kids were engaged in activities and friendly. The Inspector reviewed staff records and training hours exceeded the required16 hours and both have CPR/First Aid certification. Three children's files were also reviewed. The Provider also is current in MAT until April 27, 2018. Please call with questions 703-479-4679
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-100-A Description: Based on record review of 3 children's files, it was determined that one file was missing a physical examination and has been enrolled in the program for over 30 days. Evidence: Child 1 started attending last August and there is not a physical report in the file. Plan of Correction: We will request the report from the parent. However the child is leaving in the beginning of next month.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-530-G Description: Based on observation it was determined that the Provider allowed a child under 2 years to use a pillow for sleeping. Evidence: 1. Child 1 was observed in a crib and child's head was resting on a small pillow. Child 1 does not turn 2 years until March, 2018. Plan of Correction: We will let the parent know.
