A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted this date to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced licensing Renewal inspection was also this date. A total of 10 children present, one of which is the Provider's grandaughter (27pts) with Provider and 1 assistant. Younger children were observed playing freely in the play area while older children reviewed the alphabet, completed stamp and sticker work book activities. Diapering and hand washing procedures were observed. Observation of the entire physical plant of the home was made to include the outside play area. The home was found well maintained and supplied with ample toys, books, art supplies and educational workbooks age appropriate for all the children in care at this time. Lunch today was beef, vegetables with rice and milk to drink. No food allergies at this time and no medications on site for the children currently enrolled. Positive interaction observed between staff and children. Nice transitions from one activity to another. Large motor skills today included stretching and dancing. Previous violations were reviewed and corrective actions were verified during this inspection. A total of 6 children's records, all staff and all household member records were reviewed and determined complete. This inspection began at 10am and ended at 11:50. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. Thank you for your cooperation today. Please email me at:

A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.
