An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted in the Family Day Home on March 30, 2018. Ten children were present and in the care of two caregivers. The children's ages ranged from 5 months to 4 years. Based on the ages of the children in care, the points totaled 23. Reportedly, 19 children are currently enrolled. The children attend on a part time/full time alternate schedule. Upon arrival in the FDH, the children were getting up from nap time. Hand washing and diapering procedures were observed. The children were observed during afternoon snack, free play and dismissal. The caregivers were observed interacting with the children. The FDH was clean and organized. Each of the four designated child care rooms was supplied with developmentally appropriate materials and toys for the children. A new sand/water play table was observed, the Provider reported that the item was one of several items provided by an agency for attendance and participation in a sponsored training session. A sample of 5 children's records was reviewed. Two of the five reviewed records were for children whom enrolled after the November monitoring inspection. Information was reviewed for two caregivers. The caregivers have current medication administration training (MAT). Appointments are scheduled to obtain national fingerprint background checks. Findings were reviewed at exit. There were no observed violations during the inspection. If you have any questions, please contact this Licensing Inspector at (540)309-2310. The on site inspection was conducted from 2:45pm to 5:40pm. Thank you.
