Technical Assistance:
Discussed Changes for the Emergency Preparedness Plan.

An unannounced inspection has been conducted. There were 8 children (infants-3 years) with two caregivers for a total of 21 points. The Inspector walked through the house, observed the program, reviewed records, observed food preparation, and checked evacuation drills. Hand washing and diaper procedures were also observed. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A
Description: Based on record review and staff interviews, the Provider has not obtained the TB Screening form every two years for the assistant. Evidence: 1. The assistant said her TB Screening was done over two years ago and the assistant said it has not been redone.

Plan of Correction: I will have it completed in the next two weeks.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-240-A
Description: Based on observation, the Provider has not maintained an area in an operable condition. Evidence: 1. The Inspector was observing the children and heard the smoke detector kept beeping. The Inspector asked if it was the battery and the Provider stated the batteries did need to be changed.

Plan of Correction: We will have it fixed.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-360-B
Description: Based on observation, the Provider did not dispose of trash bag into a garbage container. Evidence: 1. When the Inspector arrived, she observed a bag of trash sitting on the outside deck. 2. Provider said she forgot about throwing it into a can.

Plan of Correction: Corrected at time of the visit.
