54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from approximately 1:00pm-2:50pm. There were 5 children in care (11 points) directly supervised by 2 caregivers. A sample of 3 amount of children?s records,2 caregiver records and 1 household member's records were reviewed. The children were observed napping, diapering, eating and preparing for party on Friday. One new caregiver has been hired since the last inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. The exit interview was conducted with the provider. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-800-B Description: Based on interview, emergency plan was not reviewed at least annually. Evidence: Provider stated that she had not updated the emergency plan since last year. Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-120-B Description: Based on record review, assistants' records were incomplete. Evidence: Caregiver A was missing two required references. Plan of Correction: I will get 2 references.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-50-A Description: Based on observation, a written record of daily attendance was not kept each day. Evidence The attendance for March 23rd, 26th, 27th, and 28th was not recorded. Plan of Correction: I will begin taking attendance again today. Numbers have been low due to spring break.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-200-A Description: Based on record review, the provider did not orient the assistant provider by the end of the first week. Evidence: Caregiver A assumed work two months prior to licensing visit and orientation had not been facilitated. Plan of Correction: I will give her orientation.
