Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted beginning at 10:00 a.m. and ending at 11:15 a.m. with the provider and assistant. There were nine children in care ranging in age from twenty-one months to five years of age for a total of eighteen points. Children were observed during lessons that included counting and hand writing skills. After lesson, children had free play at their choice of centers that included barbies, blocks, puzzles and home living. Two caregiver records, two household member records and four children's records were reviewed. Emergency drills were posted and up to date. The provider and assistant are Medication Administration Training (MAT) certified but there are no medications on site. If you have questions regarding this inspection, contact Stephanie Reed at (540) 272-6558 or S.Reed@dss.virginia.gov.
