Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 5/14/18 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on 5/14/18. There were five children present with the provider supervising. The point total for the children in care was 10 at arrival of the inspector and 12 after an additional child arrived. An assistant arrived at approximately 8:45 am. Five children's records were reviewed, the provider's record was reviewed, and one assistant's record was reviewed. The inspector arrived at the provider's home at 7:30 am and departed at 10:00 am. The children were observed at arrival, during breakfast, during free play time, and during departures. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. There was discussion with the provider about including reunification procedures to the lock down plan.
