An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted beginning at 9:30 a.m .and ending at 11:30 a.m. with the provider. There were seven children in care ranging in age from eleven months to twelve years old for a total of fifteen points. Two children were observed resting at the beginning of the inspection. Children were observed coloring, watching an age appropriate video and preparing for morning snack. Snack was milk and snack crackers. After snack, children had music and dance time. Afterward, children played an alphabet game with the provider and then played at various centers that included blocks and activity centers. One provider record, one household member record and three children's records were reviewed. Emergency drills were complete and up to date. If you have questions regarding this inspection, contact Stephanie Reed at (540) 272-6558 or S.Reed@dss.virginia.gov.
