An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. There are 8 children present (22 points) with 2 caregivers. 1 Staff and 1 child's records were reviewed. See violation notice for missing information. Children were observed playing with puzzles, Legos and books, washing hands and eating snack. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-200-C Description: Based upon a review of records, one staff record is incomplete. Evidence: One staff record does not contain documentation of orientation by the end of the first week of working. (Date of Hire: 6/1/18) No orientation is documented. Plan of Correction: I will complete orientation with the staff person today. Documentation will be placed in the record.
Standard #: 63.2-1720.1-B-2 Description: Based upon a review of records, one staff record di not contain documentation of a completed fingerprint search, prior to becoming a resident of the home (Residency began 5/25/18). Evidence: Staff A's DOH is documented as 6/1/18. The Eligible for Hire letter is dated 6/19/2018. Plan of Correction: No one will become a resident or begin employment without the search being done.
